Our Programs

Pre-School

Early Learners  1: (Age 18months -2years)

Early Learners 2: (Age 2-3)

Nursery 1: (Age 3-4)

Nursery 2: (Age 4- 5)

Our Preschool (Early Learners – Nursery 2) is a specially prepared Montessori environment.  Montessori curriculum emphasizes learning as a process that cannot be determined by a child’s age. It is different from traditional classroom curriculum, which focuses on children learning the same thing at the same time, in the same way. Instead, learning is determined by the rate and speed at which a child can acquire a skill before moving to another skill. The teaching method is child-centred, where each child is allowed to develop and learn at his/her own pace.

The Five Montessori curriculum areas are:

  • PRACTICAL LIFE EXERCISES (PLE) – PLE aims to provide purposeful activity, develop the child’s motor control and coordination, develop independence, and a sense of responsibility. It included many of the tasks the child sees as part of the daily routine at home. It is divided into three main areas: care of the person, care of the environment, and grace and courtesy
  • SENSORIAL EDUCATION- Sensorial education aims to help refine the child’s senses (Visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, and gustatory through exercise that focuses on attention and comparison of judgment. Children explore the world around them through the constant use of his/her senses. Sensorial materials are isolated on qualities such as colour, texture, size, shape, weight, sound, or taste.
  • MATHEMATICS – Little children are naturally attracted to the science of number. The unique Montessori material helps the child to gain a real understanding of mathematics through repetition and manipulation. It begins concretely and progresses towards the abstract, from simple to complex.
  • LANGUAGE – Language is a means of communicating ideas or feelings by the uses of conventional sources and sings, thus being the spoken or written language. The child is introduced to individual letter sounds after the child has been giving names for everything in the environment through tactile and auditory experiences through sandpaper/sand tray.
  • CULTURAL SUBJECTS – The Cultural Subjects (Social Studies and Science) offers the child the opportunity to explore and learn about the animate and inanimate aspects of our planets.
